wherever you are is where I want to be

As we approach moving into our new home next week, I can't help but look back at these last few months of renting an apartment while waiting for our house to be done. Life is full of so many chapters and while this has been a short one, I am grateful for it. When our old house sold so quickly, Braden and I were dreading having to essentially move twice and to rent a smaller space with a dog and a toddler. But honestly, it has been such a special chapter for our family. We have embraced this short season of life and enjoyed it for what it is. We brought the bare essentials, (except for Scarlett's room because we wanted her room to feel as close to home as possible so we brought basically everything of hers with us) The rest of our stuff has been in storage and that has been a little challenging at times, I find myself looking for things and then I realize they are in storage. We have been in a "in limbo" phase for these last few months and as hard as it's all been, our little family is closer than ever. It's been cozy, simplistic and unifying for us. We are more than ready to be in our new home, but if we have learned anything from this adventure it's as long as we are together it doesn't really matter where we live.

Just a little message from me to remind you to keep things in perspective, especially with Christmas right around the corner. It's not the things you have, where you live, or about anything materialistic. It's about love, family and keeping the things that really matter at the forefront of your life. It's so easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of life and to forget what life is all about. I'm guilty of it, and I know most are too. Just remember to slow down, and enjoy whatever chapter of life you are in and the people you are in it with.
